In a move that can only be described as both genius and evil, Apple computer has determined the color black is worth approximately $150. If you bring the new middle tier white MacBook up to spec with the middle tier black MacBook, the white will cost you $150 less.

Yes yes economy of scale, cost of manufacturing changes, blah blah blah. Successful high-end consumer/professional electronics is proving just as sketchy as the automobile business.

Probably won’t stop me from buying one.
